捞鱼生是南洋一带的民间年俗。尤其流行于新加坡、马来西亚等地。

南方一些地区,民间有人日节捞鱼生的习俗,捞鱼生时,多人围满一桌,把鱼肉、配料与酱料倒在大盘里,

大家站起身,挥动筷子,将鱼料捞动,还要不断喊到:“捞啊!捞啊!发啊!发啊!”而且要越捞越高,以示步步高升。
